1st of the month revisited

So being the first of the month means its weigh in and measure day. Shows just how slack I have been this month. I think I have been to the gym maybe 3 or 4 times all month. And eaten a little junk food. Trying to cut out coke zero and drink more water. Im up 500g. That is not going to win me the challenge!!

I resolve to do better this month. I resolve to do enough to make myself proud.

And also a big congrats to one of my bestest friends in the whole world Amy - she made it to under 100kgs and is down in the double digits. A little jealous, but so proud because I know how much hard work it takes to get there - well done hun xox

  1. You gotta make it fun - play volleyball with me! Or badminton, squash, tennis, basketball... whatever! Play! Sunday 10th! Does your gym have a squash court? I'll pay the fee. :) And, uh, find myself some non-marking shoes. >>

    Tried any good new healthy recipes lately? I've been hanging out on thestonesoup.com lately, going to try making her lentils and rice recipe on Sunday. :)

    Here's some cliches I've been finding useful this week:
    "If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got."

    "If u wantz dat cheezburgr mor than u want 2b healthy, ur doin it rong. But if u wantz it dat bad, ok, u can haz cheezburgr." Ok, I totally made that up. But I'm going to make my own lolcat with that written on it for my fridge. I need to think more before I eat. For instance, tonight I ordered a curry, and it wasn't until I'd already placed my order for lamb pasander that I thought of the sheep who died for my hedonistic craving and felt terrible about it. It was still delicious, though. =/

    AND like J said on FB, winter can be a hard time for motivation. As usual I'm a freak - I find it easier to get moving when I'm cold, and really hard in summer when it's too hot and I just wanna lie in the shade with a cold bottle of water pressed to my face. But the cycles are different for everyone and only you know when your motivation is highest and what makes it burn.

    <3 You can do it! Put in those hard yards and it will be so worth it!

    p.s. You went to the gym 3-4 times more than I did, so yay! ;)

  3. Yeah I find it easier when its cold than when its hot too. Heat is evil...
    I love zumba - and I went tonight only to find they had cancelled the class - grr!!
    Ummm my gym doesnt have squash or whatever. But we can find one. I dont have any racquets for squash or tennis. But we could play tennis at the high school? But then we need to take our own net... Hmmmm
    But playing would be fun :) and we would both enjoy it and benefit.

    Yeah I did that with mcdonalds - bought it cos I was hungry and then realised I dont really even like it anymore. Silly mind defaults that I must fix

  4. Love you and am so proud of you!
    Biggest thing I am learning to is forgive yourself. You have to do it for the right reasons and maybe only focus on an aspect at a time! I needed to get my food and water right before anything else.. then think about exercise. Love you forever!
